ICC announces schedule for the Under 19 World Cup 2020

The ICC have announced the schedule for Under 19 World Cup 2020 to be played from 17^th January to 9^th February in South Africa. There is a total of 16 teams with 4 teams in each Group. The top two teams in each Group will qualify for the Super League. It will be played across 8 venues in South Africa.

Nigeria, United Arab Emirates, Scotland, Japan, Canada have made it into the Under 19 World Cup history for the first time.

Group A comprise of defending Champions India, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Japan who qualified from Eastern Pacific region. India will start its title defence against Sri Lanka on 19^th January, then by Japan on 20^th January and the final group match against New Zealand on 24^th January.

In Group B, runners up from 2018 Under 19 World Cup Australia, West Indies, England and Nigeria who qualified from the African region.

Group C consist of Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Scotland. The 2014 winner South Africa, Afghanistan, first time qualifiers from Asia UAE and Canada who qualified from Americas region comprise of Group D.
