India look to extend their winning form in the first Test against Bangladesh

The Indian Cricket Team would look to extend their winning form against weakened Bangladesh side in the first Test match played at Holkar Stadium, Indore starting from tomorrow. The World number 1 Test side would be looking to prove their dominance against Bangladesh.

Rohit Sharma who was given a chance to open the innings for India in the Test series against Bangladesh proved his worth by scoring 529 runs from 4 innings including 3 centuries and 1 half-century. His opening partner Mayank Agarwal did a brilliant job scoring 340 runs with 2 centuries.

Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha comprise of the middle order. Kohli scored 317 runs in the Test series with a record best of 253* in the 2nd Test match at Pune. Rahane also proved his worth with 216 runs including a brilliant century in 1st innings of 3rd Test match at Ranchi.

Ravindra Jadeja who did a brilliant job with both and ball would do the all-round job. Ravichandran Ashwin also took wickets in the first two Test match but was not effective in the 3rd Test match at Ranchi.

In the third Test match against South Africa at Ranchi, Shahbaz Nadeem was included in the playing XI Instead of Kuldeep Yadav. With the pitch expected to help pacers, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav comprise of pace bowling department. The Indian captain would be looking to for their pacers to do the job for Team India and help country register win against the Bangladeshi side.

Mominal Haque will be the new captain for the 2 match Test series in absence of Shakib AL Hasan who has suspended by ICC. Bangladesh will start their World Test Championship campaign against a tough Indian side.

Shadman Islam, Imrul Kayes would do the opening duties. The bulk of the scoring for Bangladesh would be on Mominal Haque, Mushfqiur Rahim, Liton Das or Mohammad Mithun, Mahmudllah.

The pace bowling department would comprise of Mustafizur Rahaman, Al Amin Hossain, Edabot Hossain. Mehidy Hasan will do the all-rounders. He plays well lower down the order and bowls spinner.

Taijul Islam would do the spin bowling job. India would look to extend their position at the World Test Championship. They have played 5 out of matches. Winning 2 match against Bangladesh would earn them 60 points.
