The Indian Cricket Team produced another dominating display to win the first Test match by an innings and 130 runs on the third day played at Holkar Stadium, Indore on Saturday. With this win, India have earned 60 more points in the ICC Test Championship and are sitting pretty on 300 points.
After declaring on their overnight score of 493 runs for 6, Umesh Yadav got the early breakthrough for India with a peach of delivery that castled Imrul Kayes stumps . Ishant Sharma got India’s 2nd wicket getting the other Bangladesh opener Shadman Islam cheaply. Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Shami created impact with great bowling effort.
The umpire gave it not out and Kohli decided to review it. After review, umpire had to change its decision and signalled out. Mohammed Shami bowled a beauty of bouncer to dismiss Mohammad Mithun. Mushfiqur Rahim got a reprieve as he was dropped by Rohit Sharma at slips. At lunch, Bangladesh were struggling at 60 for 4.
Soon after the lunch break, Mohammed Shami got another wicket to dismiss Mahmudllah with a good catch by Rohit Sharma at slips. Mushfiqur Rahim capitalised on the chance and showed his class. Liton Das also made the batting look with aggressive stroke play. Both players showed some positive intent. Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Liton Das with a good return catch. Das and Rahim added 63 runs for the 6th wicket.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz came to the crease and played with positive intent which frustrated the Indian bowling line up. Rahim reached his fifty off 101 balls. At tea break, Bangladesh were 191 for 6.
Umesh Yadav bowled a beauty to dismiss Mehidy Hasan Miraz for 38. Mehidy and Rahim added 59 runs for the 7th wicket. Mohammed Shami bowled a brute of bouncer to dismiss Taijul Islam. Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Rahim for 64 and then got the final wicket of Ebadat Hossain to bowl out Bangladesh for 213. India won the first Test match by an innings and 130 runs.

The second Test match of series will be an historic day night Test match to be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata from 22nd November.
