The West Indies Cricket Board have announced their ODI and T20I squads to face India starting from the 6th December.
Kieron Pollard will lead the T20I squad. They will be without their star players Chris Gayle and Andre Russell for the tough tour. West Indies lost the T20I series against Afghanistan by 1-2 after being 1-0 ahead.
The batting unit comprise of Brandon King, Lendl Simmons, Evin Lewis, Shimron Hetymer, Sherfane Rutherford who has the experience of playing in Indian conditions during IPL. Kieron Pollard is the most experienced T20I player in this team. Denesh Ramdin and Nicolas Pooran makes a comeback into the squad.
Jason Holder, Keemo Paul comprise of all-rounders. The fast bowling comprises of Jason Holder, Keemo Paul, Kesrick Williams, Sheldon Cottrell. Khary Pierre, Fabian Allen and Hayden Walsh Jr comprise of the spin bowling line up. The teams will play 3 T20I matches starting from 6th December at Hyderabad, 2nd one at Trivandum on 8th and the final T20I match on 11th December at Mumbai.
West Indies are the defending Champions of T20 and would be looking to compete against the Indian team.

After the T20I finishes, West Indies will take on India in the three ODI matches. They whitewashed Afghanistan 3-0 in the recently concluded series at Lucknow. The team looks balanced and would look to continue their impressive performance. Kieron Pollard will lead the ODI squad also.
Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Sunil Ambris comprise of the openers. Shai Hope, Shimron Hetymer, Kieron Pollard, Nicolas Pooran, Romario Shephard would do the middle order. Jason Holder, Keemo Paul, Alazzari Joseph, Sheldon Cottrell would lead the pace bowling department.
Khary Pierre, Roston Chase, Hayden Walsh Junior would comprise the spin bowling department. The first ODI will be played on 15th December at Chennai, 2nd ODI Vizag on 18th and the final ODI to be played at Cuttack on 22nd.
